A collaboration with students at Benito Juarez High School in which students took alter-ego selfies. An exploration in portraiture, structures of power and identity formation, and visual culture.

 

Essential questions included:

-How does your identity transform in different the different roles and spaces you participate in?

-Which characteristics do you bring with you?

-Which characteristics do you leave behind?

-What influence do structures of power play upon the roles/identies you form?
